CNRS permanent position – Chargé·e de Recherche (CRCN)
Research theme: Dark Energy studies with large cosmological surveys
Location: IJCLab (Orsay), IP2I (Lyon), or CPPM (Marseille)
Application deadline: CNRS calendar – section 19/03
A permanent CNRS Chargé·e de Recherche position is open in Section 19/03, on the theme “Dark Energy studies with large surveys”.
At IJCLab, the successful candidate will join a strong and dynamic cosmology group deeply involved in the Vera C. Rubin Observatory / LSST project. The research will focus on the exploitation of next-generation cosmological datasets to constrain the nature of dark energy, including (but not limited to):
-
Large-scale structure and galaxy clustering
-
Weak gravitational lensing
-
Supernova cosmology
-
Photometric redshifts and survey systematics
-
Statistical and computational methods for precision cosmology
-
The candidate is expected to play an active role in LSST science collaborations and to contribute to the scientific leadership of dark-energy analyses within IJCLab.
This CNRS position is officially open at three possible host laboratories:
-
IJCLab (Orsay)
-
IP2I (Lyon)
-
CPPM (Marseille)
Applicants interested in being hosted at IJCLab are strongly encouraged to contact us early to discuss scientific integration and support for the application.
